Ten-time race winner Valtteri Bottas is confident Florida will have an “amazing show” at the inaugural Miami Grand Prix this weekend.

The Miami International Autodrome will host its first Formula 1 event in the coming days. The course consists of a mixture of fast, flowing turns and some challenging technical sections. Last year’s US Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin gathered around 400,000 fans. Bottas expects a similar “show” this weekend.

    excited

“I’m really excited about racing in Miami,” Bottas says. “I spent a few days in the States, visiting friends and cycling with my partner, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere,” he continues. So the former Mercedes driver is expecting something from the race in Miami: “The circuit looks very nice, with good overtaking opportunities and the possibility of some great racing. I’m sure the race in Florida will be a great sight, like America is used to.”

    Momentum continues

The Finn was able to collect points in every race he saw his end, and he worked for Alfa Romeo. Bottas also expects to be able to grab important points again for the Miami Grand Prix. “We come to Miami knowing we can have another good weekend. So far we’ve scored points in every race we’ve completed so far and we want to continue this strong momentum,” he concluded enthusiastically.
