Meghan Markle is said to feel ‘offended’ by a recent Family Guy episode mocking the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and believes the sitcom is ‘completely unfair’…
Meghan Markle believes the “attack” launched by the makers of Family Guy is “completely unfair” and is “desperate” to restore the couple’s reputation in the US. Sources close to Meghan and Prince Harry claim to the Mirror that the episode was a “gross smear” but also unfair and left them feeling “like people aren’t being taken seriously”. The insider added that they feel like they “can’t catch a break” after being “attacked from within Hollywood.”
Desperation
They revealed that the ‘attack’ from the Family Guy episode made it very clear that the tides have turned against them in America and that Meghan is not suffering from that. “Meghan said she would not be humiliated in this way and is desperate for a solution. They are in a complete panic,” the source told the Mirror.
“What hits them hardest and most deeply of all is that it reinforces the idea that they are frauds or spoiled children.” The source then claimed that Meghan believes the only way for Harry to save his brand is to “swallow his pride and beg for his family’s forgiveness,” they told Closer.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex can be seen in the new series of the popular animated series. In the episode, main character Peter Griffin compares himself to a couple while sitting at a bar with a group of friends. Peter talks to his friends and tries to think of ways to get the money he deserves.
Millions
He then brings up the idea of ”going it alone,” just as Meghan and Harry did when they stepped down as working members of the royal family in 2020. The scene then continues with the Sussexes sitting poolside in swimsuits. The butler waits for the couple and hands them “Netflix Millions.” As he handed them the money, the butler said to Harry: “Sir, your millions from Netflix for… no one knows what.” Then Harry replied: “Just put it with the rest.”
While the butler is on the run, Megan receives a notification on her phone. “Honey, it’s time for our daily $250,000 Del Taco sponsored Instagram post,” she told her husband. In an apparent criticism of the royal family, Harry responded: “I should not have allowed this contrived nonsense to continue.”
