The United States has officially begun production of 24 F-16 Viper fighter jets for Morocco

This was announced by the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA).

Morocco is one of the two countries, along with Taiwan, that requested this advanced version of the device. Morocco will receive its aircraft before 2026, that is, before Taiwan.

The F-16 Viper is considered one of the most advanced fighter aircraft in the world, as it has an electronic jamming radar, a high-resolution screen in the cockpit, an advanced vision system, and a wide range of munitions. Through this purchase, Morocco aims to achieve self-sufficiency in the field of defense and significantly enhance its military capabilities.

The purchase of the F-16 Viper aircraft falls within the framework of a series of defense agreements signed between Morocco and the United States since 2018, which attest to the strong strategic relations between the two countries.

The F-16 Viper will represent a major step forward for the Moroccan Air Force (FRA), which already has 23 F-16s. These combat aircraft will greatly enhance Morocco's defense capabilities, increasing the Kingdom's security and maintaining stability in the region.
