SpaceX has announced a target launch date later this month for the world’s first civilian spaceflight, which will orbit Earth for three days.
Inspiration4 will launch on September 15 from Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, SpaceX said in a press release Friday:

The Inspiration4 crew will board a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket and Dragon capsule for a multi-day flight, orbiting Earth every 90 minutes along a dedicated flight path carefully controlled by the airline’s mission controller. Upon completion of the mission, the dragon returns to Earth’s atmosphere to release water off the coast of Florida.
The civilian staff consists entirely of Mission Commander Jared Eiskman and Chief of Mission Dr. Sian Proctor, Chief Medical Officer Hayley Arsenault, and Mission Specialist Chris Sembrowski.

Isaac is the founder and CEO of Shift4 Payments and an accomplished fighter pilot who holds several world records, including two Speed-Around-The-World flights in 2008 and 2009 that raised money and fame for Make-a-Wish.
He has also participated in more than 100 air shows as part of the Black Diamond Jet team, dedicating each party to charity, and co-founding what would become the world’s largest private air force, Draken International, to provide pilots for the United States. States. Armed forces.
Proctor is a 51-year-old businessman, teacher, and trained pilot. She was born in Guam, where her father worked for the NASA tracking station during the Apollo missions.

Arsinoe is a 29-year-old physician assistant at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, where she was a former patient who suffered from bone cancer at the age of 10.
Simbrowski is a 41-year-old airline employee of Lockheed Martin and a US Air Force veteran.
The mission will raise funds and raise awareness for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The backup release date has been set for September 16th.
