Roef softball players! They made an excellent start to the European Cup Winners’ Cup on home soil. Coach Jeroen Sawyers’ side made short work of the English barbarians and Croatian Medvednica Marki.
A softball game is usually seven innings, but Rough! It is not needed in any of the game. If there is a run difference of ten or more after the full inning ends, the game is over. In Moergestelsen’s first match, they finished after five rounds (13-3). Later in the day, the organized club needed only three games to win 15-0 against Medvednitsa Marki.
Emma de Brouwer and Nicky Uytendaal each scored two runs in the first game, and nine different players scored the other nine runs. There were five players from Roof’s team against the Croatian national team. Two points each: again Emma de Brewer, Niki Oytendaal and now also Goldin, Brianna Marcelino and Onaisha Franca.
roof! It has not won the Dutch Cup, but it may participate in this European Cup tournament as the organizing club.
