PSV has announced a partnership with Adelaide United. The club from South Australia can exchange knowledge and experience within the PSV training program, while the cooperation is commercially interesting for PSV.
Earlier this month, Adelaide United president Ned Morris traveled to Eindhoven to confirm the collaboration. This gives young players from Adelaide the opportunity to train or even play at De Herdgang under European conditions. The Australian club will also benefit from the knowledge and experience of PSV Eindhoven.
“The clubs will exchange experiences and insights on scouting and youth development,” says Ernst Faber, head of youth training at Eindhoven. “This is also a great opportunity for Eindhoven commercially.” Conversely, Adelaide is also happy with this partnership. “PSV is one of the biggest clubs in the world,” Morris begins. “It has a proven track record of developing the most talented players.”
“The fact that we can train in PSV Eindhoven will certainly have a beneficial impact on Adelaide United players and coaches.” At the same time, we know that we are doing a lot of good things in the A-League and we will try to share our footballing vision and operational knowledge with PSV Eindhoven.” Adelaide is currently ranked eighth in the A-League. Gertjan Verbeek was coach there in the 2019/20 season.
