    It didn’t fall from the sky everywhere on Sunday morning, but in many places in Groningen and Denthey there is really enough snow for a good dose of snow fun.

    In Drenthe, the landscape turned white early this morning. Like here at Assen.

    That was so much fun early on. This family went on a nice trip in Asser Bos.

    Snow began in Groningen soon afterwards. In the north of the province, the snowfall was a bit disappointing for some. However, there is a lot of snowy fun in Groningen.

    Strong winds with snow lead to snow drift. This creates snow dunes that can create dangerous traffic situations. The wind also makes it very cold.

    Now that we’re not allowed to go to the ski slopes in Austria and Switzerland, we are having fun here, at the Kleine Rietplas in Emmen.

    And if you have to go out on the street, you may have to take out your car.

    The coming days will remain very cold. The snow will likely stay for a while.

    Due to strong winds, Paterswoldsmeer and Hoornsemeer do not freeze. But the high waves hit the water on the banks and make them soft like a mirror.
