Dutch footballers are down two places in the FIFA World Ranking. National coach Andres Juncker’s team is eighth on the US-led list. Louis van Gaal’s lineup is also eighth.

In the August standings, the Dutch women’s team was still sixth. This position is now taken by Spain. Sweden moved up from third to second, changing positions with Germany. European champion England national team coach Sarina Wegmann came fourth, followed by France in fifth.

Orange’s position in the rankings affects the 2023 World Cup draw. Because orange has fallen outside the top six, national coach Juncker’s side ends up in Pot 2. The top six countries on the list and the 2023 World Cup hosts, Australia and New Zealand, will automatically end up in the rankings. In Pot 1. The Netherlands will meet one of these countries in the group stage. The World Championship Final Draw will take place on October 22 (noon).

And the orange team qualified for the World Cup at the beginning of September by defeating Iceland.
