One new genius atlas - "The Elegant Strangers"

Atlas Genius is back with revenge. For the readers they don’t know: Atlas Genius consists of two Australian brothers (Keith and Michael Jeffery) who, along with three band members, perform alternative pop music à la Foster The People. The captivating “Trojans” have made a lot of progress with the general public, but a passionate FIFA player might also know the song If So, which was used in FIFA 13 and stuck in the minds of many players.

January 2019 has passed since we got to grips with new music from Atlas Genius, but captain Keith Geoffrey didn’t sit still during the shutdown. Jeffrey was the only one in Australia while the other band members stayed in Los Angeles. He decided to explore the country on their own and record an old song or cover every Thursday in a beautiful place via their Youtube channel.

The latest song from Atlas Genius is called “Elegant Strangers” and it reminds us a bit of Tame Impala and Compact Disc Dummies. However, the song lingers in a kind of monotonous void that you don’t really run away from. The guitar solo in the end is not surprising and the song is less catchy than we’re used to. Atlas Genius is working on a new album whose release date is not yet known. They promised to release some new songs in 2021 anyway.
