The signatories to the letter state that a maze arose out of often suspected service providers submitting homes on Funda.nl without the possibility of disciplinary law. “Access to Funda should be immediately restricted to the offices of the branch,” departments write in a confidential “urgent letter,” as they call it themselves, in the hands of this site.
According to conversations with entrepreneurs, it has been brewing for some time between traditional middlemen and so-called “internet brokers” or “self-employed middlemen”. Amsterdam Chairman Jerry Weinen announced, during an online meeting, that the Amsterdam Real Estate Association in particular is now completely attacking such companies and believes that they should be expelled from the NVM.
“Do-it-yourself brokers like Makelaarsland don’t act like an NVM broker. If it was up to me and our board of directors, they wouldn’t be members anymore.” In urgent letter signed by several brokers, only then aim is to prevent Funda. For example, a list of at least twenty providers is mentioned, including rental agents such as 123wonen.nl and Huurrendement. It is not known exactly how many brokers belong to the group.
