German Carrier to Introduce First Class Suites and Upgraded Business Class on Daily Singapore Flights
Lufthansa will introduce its new Allegris premium cabin products on flights between Singapore Changi Airport and Munich Airport beginning October 26, 2026, marking the first time the airline’s latest First Class suites will operate to Singapore.
The German flag carrier said its daily Airbus A350-900 service on the Munich-Singapore route will transition to Allegris-equipped aircraft as part of the Northern Winter 2026/27 schedule. The deployment positions Singapore among the earliest Southeast Asian destinations to receive Lufthansa’s long-awaited cabin upgrade program.
The move is expected to significantly enhance the onboard experience for premium travelers flying between Singapore and Germany, particularly in Business and First Class cabins.
Lufthansa Expands Allegris Rollout in Southeast Asia
Lufthansa will operate Allegris-configured Airbus A350 aircraft on flights LH768 from Munich to Singapore and LH769 on the return sector.
The outbound service will depart Munich at 10:20 p.m. and arrive in Singapore at 5:25 p.m. the following day. The return flight will depart Singapore at 11:45 p.m.
The new aircraft will replace Lufthansa’s current Airbus A350 configuration on the route, which features an older 2-2-2 Business Class layout that does not provide direct aisle access for every passenger.
The Allegris upgrade is designed to modernize Lufthansa’s long-haul premium offering with a stronger focus on passenger privacy, comfort, and seating flexibility.
Singapore becomes one of the first destinations in Southeast Asia to receive the upgraded product following Kuala Lumpur International Airport, where Allegris Business Class is scheduled to debut on Boeing 787-9 services to Frankfurt later in 2026.
First Class Returns to Singapore After More Than a Decade
The introduction of the Allegris-equipped Airbus A350 will also restore Lufthansa First Class service on the Munich-Singapore route for the first time since 2012.
Lufthansa previously operated First Class between the two cities using Airbus A340-300 aircraft before suspending the premium cabin offering more than a decade ago.
The airline’s new Allegris First Class cabin includes only three suites arranged in a 1-1-1 configuration. Each suite features floor-to-ceiling privacy walls, sliding doors, wireless charging capabilities, lie-flat beds, and large in-flight entertainment screens.
A key feature of the cabin is the “First Class Suite Plus,” a larger center suite designed for two passengers traveling together. The suite can convert into a double-bed configuration and offers additional personal space compared with standard First Class seating.
Industry analysts expect award-seat availability in the new cabin to remain highly restricted, as Lufthansa has historically prioritized premium redemption inventory for members of its Miles & More loyalty program.
Business Class Receives Major Overhaul
Lufthansa’s Allegris Business Class introduces direct aisle access for every passenger, aligning the airline more closely with modern premium travel standards adopted by global competitors.
The cabin offers seven distinct seating options, including Business Suites with privacy doors, extra-long bed seats, and throne-style individual seats designed for solo travelers seeking additional privacy.
According to Mainly Miles, Lufthansa has invested approximately EUR70 million in upgraded onboard dining, amenities, and premium services across its long-haul network as part of the Allegris program.
The rollout forms part of Lufthansa’s broader effort to strengthen its premium positioning in key international markets while improving competitiveness against rival European and Asian carriers.
Lufthansa and Singapore Airlines Deepen Partnership
Lufthansa and Singapore Airlines continue to expand cooperation under their joint venture partnership on Europe-Singapore routes.
Singapore Airlines recently announced plans to increase Munich services to 10 weekly flights from late 2026, further enhancing connectivity between Singapore and Germany and supporting growing travel demand between the two markets.
The parallel expansion by both airlines is expected to provide travelers with greater schedule flexibility and a wider range of premium travel options on one of Europe’s key Southeast Asian corridors.
