Relegated VVV-Venlo
VVV-Venlo were relegated from the Eredivisie after four years. The national champion Ajax was 3-1 too strong for Luhokai at the Arena. Due to FC Emmen’s victory over SC Heerenveen and Willem II’s victory over ADO Den Haag, VVV-Venlo could no longer sustain itself or qualify for the play-off matches. A round of play before the season ends, the curtain falls on VVV-Venlo.

Fortuna Sittard drew 3-3 at home against Vitesse and he could definitely forget the playoffs to get a European football ticket. Sjors Ultee gave up a win in the last minute of extra time.

Domolin would go on as a professional cyclist
Tom Dumoulin will continue as a professional cyclist. At the start of this year, the 30-year-old Limburger announced that he wanted to quit cycling indefinitely. Now he’s back on the bike. The first race he rides is the Tour de Suisse, starting June 6th.

New construction Van Bommel Van Dam is taking shape
The new building of the Van Bommel Van Damme museum in Venlo is increasingly taking shape. The museum will move to the Old Post Office at Keulsepoort in two and a half months. In recent months, construction workers have worked hard to get everything ready.
