An adventure in the US looms: Bale can break DC United's record

DC United is trying to bring Gareth Bale to MLS after the European season. The striker wants to go to a club where he can spend minutes aiming for the World Cup at the end of this year.

DC United says DC United intends to offer that opportunity to Bill Washington Post† Talks between Bell’s entourage and the club from the United States have been going on for several months. In recent weeks, DC United has made efforts to make Bale the highest-paid player in the club’s history. Currently, Wayne Rooney is the club’s record holder with over €4.6 million annually.

Bale has been under contract with Real Madrid since 2013, where he is one of the best players. However, it is rarely used in Madrid. He was loaned last season to Tottenham Hotspur, while this season he has made just seven appearances in all competitions.
