If 2020 is a great year for video games, then 2021 is shaping up to be absolutely fantastic. We break down 10 games that we are most excited to play in 2021.
Video games have been a saving grace in 2020 with the amount of time we’ve all spent stuck in our homes, apartments, condos, or indoors in general. We had a slew of great games popping up throughout the year to keep us entertained.
And the great video games will not stop in 2020, because the list of games for 2021 is just as crowded as 2020. In addition to the release of both Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, the quantity and quality will be top notch. And exciting!
Here are our 10 games we can’t wait to play in 2021, in no particular order because we’re so excited.
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart One of the highlights of the PlayStation 5 demo was, only for its load time. Still incredibly impressive, just watch the video above and see absolutely no delay between worlds.
Of course, load times aren’t the only reason we get excited Ratchet and clank. It’s also a new game in the series! Their last release was in 2016 so it’s going to be a great comeback for these characters. Not much is known about the plot, only that you will pass alternate facts to prevent the villain from destroying the multiverse.
Rift regardless It is scheduled to launch sometime in the first quarter of 2021.
Infinite aura
The disclosure of the gameplay of this game over the summer left the majority of fans and critics disappointed in the graphics rendition, especially after everything the PlayStation 5 demo showed. Not long ago, the game was postponed from the 2020 holiday to the latter half of 2021. How Cyberpunk 2077 He’s gone, this was definitely a smart move.
Infinite aura It will lead to the return of the Master Chief and will be the third chapter in Reclaimer Saga He is trying to save humanity. From what we’ve seen so far, The Banished also appears to be the enemies in the game. We’d love to see a developer taking their time on something and really listening to the comments.
Outriders
Square Enix works really well with RPGs, and the next outing (jointly with Polish developer People Can Fly) is Outsiders, Third-person shooter with RPG elements. Mankind’s efforts to colonize the alien planet Enoch (unrelated to Shield agents Character) south as an energy storm breaks through the lands.
Of course, that storm conferred great powers on Enoch and the colonialists. You can choose from four different classes for your character and the variety of weapons is enormous. In addition to using skill trees and having human enemies and crazy monsters, it feels like it’s going to be a good time. We’ll just have to see if they deliver a powerful story to go with all of the action.
Outriders It is currently scheduled to launch on February 2, 2021.
Horizon is forbidden west
Ago Horizon Zero Dawn In 2017, fans were pushing a bit for a sequel, and Sony gave a first glimpse of the PlayStation 5 demo.
The sequel takes Aloy to the mysterious frontiers of a post-apocalyptic world to find the source of the plague that destroys everything that afflicts it. Building the world in the first Horizon It was awesome and awesome, and it looks like the sequel will continue in the same vein. We will see a lot of diverse ecosystems, and I can only imagine the different skills and weapons that the game will give us.
And the fact that Ashley Burch seems to love Expressing Aloy makes us more excited to see where this game is taking us. Anything Ashley Burch does that makes us happy.
Horizon is forbidden west It will be launched in the second half of 2021.
Little Nightmares 2
If you don’t play Little nightmares You’re missing out on six hours of tense and terrifying gameplay.
Little Nightmares 2 He picks up where the first ends, with six running away from Mao. Instead of exploring and leaving Maw, you’ll get to work with a second character named Mono who tries to navigate Pale City. It seems the world is so obsessed with TV rather than the monstrous things obsessed with food on Maw.
But that doesn’t make it any less terrifying. And if you played any of the DLC in the first video game, you’ll recognize some of the characters that will appear. Tarsier Studios came out and said that the sequel is also longer than the first. We’re excited to see how the crazy things get.
Little Nightmares 2 Releases on February 11, 2021.
NieR: replica 1.22474487139
NieR Replicant It appeared in Japan only in 2010 and was an alternate version of the original Langerhans Game. It is not to be confused with the sequel Yoke: Automata Issued in 2017.
NieR: Replicant Version 1.22 … It is a modified version of the alternative Japan game from 2010. Mankind faces extinction and it is up to NieR to help preserve human life. You’re trying to find a cure for the mysterious disease gripping humanity and you’re also trying to figure out where all these crazy machines came from.
It also looks as if the combat has been completely overhauled from the original game. And if it is similar to fighting in Automata, I would be incredibly happy because the combat system was so much fun.
NieR Replicant Version 1.22 … Released April 23, 2021.
Deathlope
I can not wait For this game. Looks like the next Bethesda game very goodAnd we already only saw the trailer from the PlayStation 5 demo over the summer.
Deathloop plays Colt, an assassin stuck in a time loop on Blackreef. You are charged with assassinating eight targets across the island before midnight. If you leave even one of them alive, the time loop will start again. If you die before eliminating all 8 goals, the time loop begins again.
But don’t worry, because there is a proxy in charge of taking you out in order to protect the time loop. If you play the multiplayer part of the game, you can even play it. It looks creative and sexy and we can’t wait to get our hands on it.
Deathlope Releases on May 21, 2021.
God of War: Ragnarok
Technically speaking, I don’t think that name actually has a name yet, but the tag title card for the Ragnarok is coming At the PlayStation 5 reveal, people have made assumptions.
Regardless, the 2018 sequel God of War Strongly awaited players. We don’t know much about this game. The assumption is that we will see the beginning of Ragnarok in the universe, which is a mega event that kills many Norse gods and kills at the end of days. It seems great!
At the moment it is set to roll out in 2021, but with nothing disclosed, I wouldn’t be surprised if this is delayed until 2022.
Hogwarts Legacy
We don’t know much about him Hogwarts Legacy Yet, what we know seems like everything Harry Potter Wanted a video game fan.
Set in the 19th century, you get to choose the student character in Hogwarts and the house you want to join. You will attend classes and explore Hogwarts, Hogsmeade and IT open worldWhich means if you just want to wander around and explore the Forbidden Forest, you can totally do it. stray
This one looks great The PlayStation 5 demo gave us a lot to like, but some of the best Twitter reactions were related to: Wearing a cat On his back.
Not much is known about this game yet. You play as a cat in a city inhabited by a robot and we can only assume it is a game all about exploration. Will you solve the puzzles? Will you ever encounter other cats wearing the backpack? Are there any real humans? Is the city mysteriously running out of catnip?
I have no idea, but I am ready to play and find out. stray It launches sometime in 2021.
