The developers of the popular WhatsApp have said that from the first seconds of the new year, the app will stop working on old smartphones. Therefore, users are advised to update the operating system or keep the correspondence.

    I mentioned before the mirror.

Therefore, from January 1, 2021, WhatsApp will stop working on smartphones with an operating system older than Android 4.0.3 or iOS 9 for the iPhone. Management warns that if you own iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S before the New Year, then you need to update the software to iOS 9.

If for some reason this is not possible, users are advised to create a backup of all chats so as not to lose important correspondence. To do this, in the desired chat, click “Group information”, then select “Export chat”. This will enable correspondence to be downloaded to the device without pictures in it.

It is reported that 48 US states, led by the State of New York and the US Federal Trade Commission, have filed antitrust lawsuits against Facebook, which owns the social network of the same name. The company is accused of monopoly, destroying competition and buying promising companies. Additionally, the court is being asked to compel Facebook to sell important assets, including Instagram and WhatsApp, and to block such transactions in the future.

As Strana reported, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro installed correspondence on his smartphone and shared his phone number with everyone.
