The Minnesota Vikings couldn’t have written a better start for “Sunday Night Football” against the Seattle Seahawks, but now the key to their offensive success has been forced out of play. After lifting nearly 90 yards of melee in just over two quarters in Seattle, full-back superstar Dalvin Cook suffered a thigh injury while running off limits after he hunted in the third quarter.

The injury forced Cook to quit the match and submit to a locker room assessment, pushing reserve Alexander Matteson to first place in the backstroke of the Vikings, who considered Cook’s return questionable. However, Cook was able to return to work later in the third quarter.

A 1,000-yard dash in 2019, Cook entered Sunday night as the NFL’s leading ball carrier in four weeks, with 424 yards and six touchdowns to his name. After his five-year contract worth $ 63 million was signed in September, he has been the focus of the Minnesota offensive over the past two years, scoring 13 career drops in 2019.

However, injuries are no stranger to the 25-year-old Pro Bowler. Cook missed 19 joint matches between 2017 and 2019, including 12 rookie matches and five in their second year season. If he ends up missing more time in the Vikings’ back court, the team will count on Matteson, their 22-year-old former third player, as well as sixth-year reserve Amir Abdullah and veteran full back CG Ham.

You can find all updates on Cook as well as follow the “Sunday Night Football” action on our game’s live blog.
