Trump, who today witnessed the withdrawal of his latest Republican rival, Nikki Haley, said: “It is important for the benefit of our country that Joe Biden and I discuss issues that are very vital to America and the American people.” “I look forward to the response.”

Trump and Biden have not yet officially received their party's nomination, but that seems to be a matter of time because there are no longer any serious opponents. Both are expected to win enough delegates in the primaries within a few weeks to become their party's nominee.

During the Republican primaries, Trump refused to debate with fellow party members who were running against him. Every time they held a debate, Trump would schedule another campaign event at the same time.

    Repeating previous elections

In 2020, Donald Trump and current President Joe Biden (81 years old) also competed against each other. Biden then won the elections with his running mate, Kamala Harris, by 7 million votes over Trump.

It is not yet known who will be Trump's deputy, but many arrows are directed towards US Senator Tim Scott, who withdrew from the race to become president last November. The AP calls, among others, possible deputy prime ministerial nominee Scott Trump.

On November 5, Americans will go to the polls to elect their new president.
