A special project is currently underway in the Swiss Alps. The first TRI-Line ski lift has been built in Doppelmayr in Hoch Ybrig. This lift features a new lift system that combines many advantages of existing systems. We also wrote a construction update about this new ski lift in May, but now a lot has happened in the Swiss Alps!
Lifting system: TRI-Line by Doppelmayr
Doppelmayr developed the TRI-Line based on the D-Line and 3S lift systems, which have been in use in recent years. The new cable car system inherits advantages such as high reliability and comfort when leaving the lift station. In addition, the system offers new developments, such as space for a maximum of 20 people per gondola and a transport capacity of up to 8,000 people per hour. Doppelmayr also states that the compact design has a smaller environmental footprint, requires less maintenance and is relatively cheaper to purchase.

Construction update from Hoch Ybrig
The first TRI-Line ski lift has been installed in Hoch Ybrig, Switzerland. Here a 55-year-old lift is being replaced by a new model. In May they were still working on the supporting structure of the mountain station. Now much more has been completed!
The elevator buildings are starting to take shape and the first elevator supports are also being placed on the slope. At the mountain station, all the mechanics are located and it is the role of the walls. The mountainous terrain is a challenge for the workers, but they are working steadfastly! In this video from the ski area, you can see exactly the current state of construction:
