Assistant Main Constable with Police Scotland Steve Johnson claimed the male suspect was shot by armed police and a police officer was injured though working with the incident.
“We are continuing to offer with the incident on West George Avenue #Glasgow and would question individuals to stay away from the space,” Johnson said.

“I would like to reassure the public that at this time we are not looking for any person else in relation to this incident. I can also verify that a police officer was hurt when dealing with the incident and that officer is receiving treatment in healthcare facility,” Johnson explained.
