It's about a 25-year-old plane that left San Francisco. There was no emergency landing, and the Boeing plane landed safely at its final destination, Medford, where damage was discovered at the gate.

    139 passengers and six crew

There were 139 passengers and six crew members on board. No one is hurt.

The local newspaper, the Rogue Valley Times, publishes photos of the hole in the plane. Medford International Airport remained closed for a while in an attempt to find the missing plate, but the part has not yet been found.

“We are conducting a thorough investigation of the aircraft and making all necessary repairs before returning it to service,” United said. The US aviation authority FAA also announced an investigation. Boeing, which built the plane in 1998, did not respond to the incident and referred media questions to United.

A Boeing 737 Max lost a door panel during a flight earlier this year. Since then, the company has been plagued by incidents that have received significant attention in the American media. For example, earlier this month, shortly after departure from San Francisco, a wheel fell off the landing gear of a United Boeing 777.
