On this day you support the ALS Netherlands Foundation when you drive your car to the car wash

During National Car Wash Day in Bovag, you can wash your car in Apeldoorn and support a good cause at the same time. The ALS Netherlands Foundation is committed to scientific research and quality of care and life for patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

On Saturday 29 June 2024, 111 Bovag car washes across the Netherlands will donate to the ALS Netherlands Foundation.

In the Netherlands, about five hundred people are diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) every year: a condition in which muscles fail one by one, including the breathing muscles. On average, people die within three to five years after the first symptoms appear. Unfortunately, there is no medicine available yet, which is why scientific research into the cause and treatment of this disease is very important, according to the Dutch ALS Foundation.

Every wash is important

By washing your car at one of the participating car washes on Saturday, June 29, you can contribute to medical research and support people with ALS and their loved ones. “All proceeds from this day go to the ALS Netherlands Foundation, so every wash counts,” says Eric Stern, BOVAG Car Wash and Cleaning Branch Manager.
