Max Verstappen was spotted in Australia with Kelly Piquet's daughter Penelope. But followers are wondering one thing: Where is Kelly?
“Max Verstappen arrived in Australia on Tuesday with Penelope. He was photographed leaving the airport!”, says the Instagram post along with a video showing Max leaving the airport with Penelope.
Where is Kelly?
Followers noticed that Kelly Pique is nowhere to be seen. “Where's Kelly?” one follower asks. “A job in LA,” another follower replies. This means Max is alone in Australia with Penelope. And followers think so. “Sorry, but this is really bullshit. Penelope has a father, Kelly can leave her with him or take her with him. Why is Kelly trying so hard to control Max and create a 'perfect family image'?” one asks. Another agrees: “Kelly plays a loving mother who finds every moment difficult without her daughter.”
But others believe the reactions go further. “The reactions are going too far. Penelope is literally living with Max and Kelly in Monaco. You all need to calm down.”
There is no father figure
Although Max spends a lot of time with Penelope, he does not feel like a father figure. “I'm not the father, and that's not the point. It's always important for her to have a good relationship with her father, and she enjoys that,” he recently told TIME magazine.
While Max seems to spend more time with Penelope than with her father. This has to do with the fact that Penelope is with Kelly more than Danielle. “I see her every day when I'm home. We get along very well,” Max says.
