Man arrested over urinating PC Keith Palmer memorial

A gentleman has been arrested on suspicion of urinating on the Westminster memorial dedicated to Computer Keith Palmer.

The incident is thought to have taken area on Saturday afternoon.

Mr Palmer, 48, was stabbed while on obligation in the course of the Westminster terror assault on 22 March 2017. He was one of 5 persons murdered by Khalid Masood.

The Met Police mentioned officers experienced arrested a guy on suspicion of outraging general public decency.

He is currently in custody in Essex immediately after presenting himself at a law enforcement station.

Speaking on Saturday in reaction to a picture posted on social media, Commander Bas Javid reported: “We are aware of a disgusting and abhorrent graphic circulating on social media of a person appearing to urinate on a memorial to Pc Palmer.

“I sense for Computer system Palmer’s family members, friends and colleagues.

“We have instantly released an investigation, and will assemble all the evidence readily available to us and consider suitable motion.”

MP Tobias Ellwood, who gave first assist to Personal computer Palmer as he lay dying following staying stabbed in the grounds of Parliament, said the impression of the urinating guy was “abhorrent”.
