Without much announcement, Google has started rolling out a useful feature for Maps. We show what the update brings.

Navigation could soon become more impressive for Google Maps users, as the latest update brings 3D buildings while guiding a route. Until now, this impressive display was limited to the regular map display.

To enjoy this feature, users must ensure that 3D view is activated before starting navigation and that they zoom in on the map. Some lucky people have even reported seeing transparent 3D buildings appear in Google Maps on Android Auto when they overlap a path.

So far, Google has not issued any official statement regarding this update. Therefore, it is still unclear which devices will support this amazing 3D navigation feature in the future.

A few days ago, it was announced that Google would be bringing back a Maps feature that users had to do without for some time. Here we summarize what makes this feature so practical.
