The ski season is in full swing in Australia. But the snowfall in this winter sports country has been disappointing so far. It was only this week that the first real snow fell and is being celebrated in the ski areas. And more good news: there is another layer to come!

Not all ski areas are fully open in Australia yet. Winter 2024 is a bit of a disappointment in terms of snowfall, which is clearly not what you want in a ski season. Many areas have been open since June, but with limited facilities.

This week the tide is turning! It has snowed and more is on the way. The temperature has dropped below freezing, ensuring an influx of cold air. Icy winds are blowing, causing precipitation to fall in the form of snow. How nice for the ski areas! Different regions are sharing current photos and videos on social media.
