Billionaire artwork collector and gallerist Adam Lindemann has discovered a renter for Eothen, the sprawling Montauk estate once owned by pop artwork icon Andy Warhol.
Lindemann and his spouse Amalia Dayan have been quietly making an attempt to market the estate for all over $65 million, as we reported exclusively.
The new renters are Moscow-born art collector/editor Dasha Zhukova, the ex-wife of Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, and her new partner, Greek delivery heir Stavros Niarchos III, who previously dated Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Mary-Kate Olsen. (There is no phrase on how considerably Zhukova and Niarchos are shelling out for the summertime digs.)
Zhukova, 39, is the founder of Moscow’s Garage Museum of Contemporary Artwork. Constructed in the 1930s as a rustic fishing camp for a wealthy relatives, Eothen attributes a key home and 6 white-shingled cottages on 5.7 acres.
Lindemann bought it from previous J.Crew CEO Mickey Drexler for $50 million in 2015. (Warhol, in partnership with filmmaker Paul Morrissey, purchased it for $225,000 in 1972.) Zhukova and Niarchos, 35, married in January in Switzerland, in entrance of a star-studded guest listing that included Joshua Kushner, Karlie Kloss, Princess Beatrice and Stella McCartney.
Zhukova, we hear, has also expressed fascination in obtaining the home and is “trying it out” as a rental 1st. (When they were being alongside one another, she and Abramovich rented the Lasata estate in East Hampton, exactly where Jackie Kennedy Onassis put in some of her childhood summers.)
Lindemann, we listen to, is summering in his distribute on Aged Montauk Freeway, wherever he briefly had two properties at Nos. 404 and 406 on the marketplace for a combined $24 million in Could.
