Atalanta won a tricky point in Switzerland over Young Boys in Group F of the Champions League: 3-3. Luis Morell, who had just come, prevented the Italian team from defeat in the 87th minute. By winning the last game at home against Villarreal on December 8, the club from Bergamo with Manchester United qualified for the eighth final.

Atalanta lost the lead twice in Berne. With two defeats in the final stage, the home team seemed to be certain of winning the second set. But Colombia’s Muriel decided otherwise with an accurate free kick. It was his first contact with the ball.

International Martin de Roon played a key position in Atalanta and played the entire match. Fellow international Teun Koopmeiners started off the bench and came in in the 71st minute.

Earlier in the evening, Manchester United booked a place in the Round of 16. Two days after coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer left, the English club remained in charge of Villarreal 2-0 in Spain. Both goals fell in the last stage and were attributed to Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho.

At Manchester United, Donny van de Beek has finally secured a key place once again. In Spain he was allowed to participate for more than an hour. In the 66th minute he had to make way for Bruno Fernandes. Van de Beek received a yellow card in the 41st minute after slipping with an outstretched leg.

In Villarreal, Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld participated in the entire competition. The striker was missing last Saturday in the first leg against Celta de Vigo (1-1). Nadia said he was injured. Groenefeld was the Orange team’s starting player in the previous World Cup qualifiers against Montenegro (2-2) and Norway (2-0).
