Disappearance During Routine Crew Stop
FORT WORTH, Texas — An American Airlines flight attendant based at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport has gone missing during a scheduled layover in Medellín, Colombia, prompting a multi-agency search and growing fears of possible foul play.
Fernando Gutierrez was last seen early Sunday morning after leaving a nightclub in Medellín’s Poblado district with two unidentified men. The incident occurred during what was expected to be a routine overnight crew stop in the Colombian city.
Gutierrez had been out Saturday night with a fellow crew member. While his colleague safely returned to the crew hotel, Gutierrez remained behind, continuing to socialize with individuals he had met at the venue. He has not been seen or heard from since.
Social Media Activity Suddenly Stops
Before his disappearance, Gutierrez had been actively posting videos to Snapchat, documenting his time at the nightclub. His posts abruptly stopped shortly after he was last seen, raising alarm among friends and coworkers when attempts to contact him failed.
Originally from El Salvador, Gutierrez is a Spanish speaker but is not believed to have close personal connections in Medellín. His unfamiliarity with the city has intensified concerns about his safety.

The substance is often administered in drinks or food without the victim’s knowledge. It is colorless, tasteless, and can leave individuals disoriented or unconscious for extended periods. Victims frequently report memory loss and an inability to recall events that occurred while under its ազդեց.
