The schedule for Sunday’s Australian Grand Prix has been revised. All three Grand Prix categories will have a ten-minute warm-up session and race start times have been brought forward due to expected weather conditions.

Whether there will be racing at the Phillip Island Grand Prix circuit on Sunday is still the big question. Due to the forecast weather conditions – with heavy rain and strong winds – the entire MotoGP race has already been moved from Sunday to Saturday. This very exciting race was won by Johann Zarco who took his first win in the premier class.

A new Sunday schedule was created where all races were presented. It is expected that the high winds will not be too bad before the afternoon and will become increasingly worse later in the day. To get used to the weather conditions, the Moto3 and Moto2 classes will also have a ten-minute warm-up session on Sunday morning, after which full-distance races will be scheduled. The MotoGP class concludes today at Phillip Island with a thirteen lap Sprint Race.

The timetable for Sunday on Phillip Island is as follows (Dutch time):

    • Saturday Evening 11:20pm – Moto3 warm-up
    • Saturday Evening 11:40pm – Moto2 warm-up
    • Sunday morning 00:00 – Motorcycle warm-up
    • Sunday Morning 01:00 – Moto3 Race (21 laps)
    • Sunday Morning 02:15 – Moto 2 (23 laps)
    • Sunday morning 04:00 – Speedway (13 laps)

So it all depends on what the weather conditions are. If safety cannot be guaranteed, the program will be canceled on Sunday.
