JEWAR, India — Akasa Air has partnered with Noida International Airport to establish the airline’s first maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility in India, a move that underscores the carrier’s long-term expansion plans and growing demand for domestic aviation infrastructure.
The facility will be located within the premises of Noida International Airport in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh. The project is expected to strengthen India’s aircraft maintenance capabilities while helping airlines reduce their reliance on overseas MRO services.
Akasa Air currently operates a fleet of about 35 aircraft and has placed orders for 226 additional planes as part of its long-term growth strategy.
