A dog discovered a real treasure chest in France during a nature walk. It came via a metal box. When the four pedestrians in his group opened the box, it was discovered that it contained a bag of euro notes with a total value of 400,000 euros.

The bona fide discoverers, a married couple, stumbled upon the treasure two years ago during a nature hike in La Londe-les-Mors. The French media did not write about this wonderful discovery until recent days. As Walker’s dog started digging, a metal box suddenly appeared. When the couple opened it, they found a plastic bag containing bundles of banknotes worth 400,000 euros.

The researchers immediately transferred the discovered treasure to the police. And try to find out the source of the money. Police believe the money comes from criminal activities. But despite DNA research, the use of sniffer dogs and field surveillance, more than two years later, it remains unclear where the money came from.

Under French law, researchers can now claim half the amount, 200,000 euros. The other half goes to the municipality of La Londe-les-Maurice, where the money was found.
