25-year-old twins Anne-Fleur and Jasmine want nothing more than for their mother Liliane Coubal to get better and have more energy. The single Horne woman suffers from a serious illness, which means she spends 22 hours a day in bed. There is a program in Australia that offers the solution, but it requires a lot of money. They hope to raise the remaining amount through a “luxury exhibition” and art auction this weekend. “For my mother, this proximity is a bright spot,” Anne Flor says.
Nearly 30 years ago, Lillian from Horne contracted a very debilitating disease, myalgic encephalomyelitis. The chief complaint is that the patient is always tired, and every effort he makes aggravates the complaint.
This means that Jasmine and Anne-Fleur's mother is almost lying In bed 22 hours a dayThe energy level is about five percent. “She has to decide whether she wants to shower for a day with the help of a chair, or whether she wants to save her energy for something else,” the sisters said last year about the painful situation.
He was treated in the Netherlands
Liliane completed her treatment in the Netherlands. After much research, it became clear that an Australian program could provide a solution, and Lillian was a good fit. bee treatment The immune and nervous systems are reset. “As a result, patients regain their quality of life. For example, someone who previously used a wheelchair can walk independently again, and another person has much more energy than they had before treatment.”
Yasmine said last December: It will be a difficult process. “But she can be herself in our presence. She receives treatment almost every day from a team of specialists for six weeks. This is accompanied by a separate diet and a daily rehabilitation program for almost two years in the Netherlands, supervised by a team from Australia. We are so glad she can go. However, there are now pressures about the high costs of such an operation.”
That's why Anne Fleur and Jasmine Donation campaign I started. They are also organizing various campaigns and activities to collect the required amount of 46 thousand euros. The meter now costs more than 37,000 euros.
Luxury gallery with art auction
“Last weekend we organized a wild card tournament in Amsterdam,” says Anne Flour. “Together this tournament and another in Leeuwarden raised €1,200 for the campaign.”
But thousands of euros are still needed, which is why they are organizing a luxury fair this weekend. It will happen next Sunday between 1:00pm and 6:00pm at Achterom 19 in Hoorn, in the old Sint Jozef school.
“This site is made selflessly available by the artists who are there,” Anne Flor explains. “We can also auction off some of their artwork for our campaign. In addition to food and beverages, we have a lot more that can be sold or auctioned. This is too many to mention.”
To draw attention to the luxury exhibition, Anne Flor placed nearly 800 flyers in people's mailboxes last week. “We have no idea how many people will come,” says the 25-year-old. “But we hope there will be a great turnout.”
About eight weeks in Australia
On Wednesday, April 3, the sisters will leave for Australia with Liliane. There they will spend about eight weeks in an apartment near where their mother is receiving treatment. “It takes a lot of time and energy to arrange it, but we really work at it,” says Anne Flour.
She continues, “At first you ask yourself whether you will be able to raise the money you need, but the interest generated has been overwhelming. We are so close now, we are already counting down. The mother is not in a much better position than she was at the end of the year.” “The past, but now she has a bright spot to live by.”
