A few Indian soldiers have been killed in a clash with Chinese forces in Ladakh in the disputed Kashmir location.

The Indian military explained “senior military officers of the two sides are assembly to defuse the circumstance”, incorporating that each sides endured casualties.

China responded by calling on India not just take unilateral actions or stir up trouble, the Reuters company documented.

China has also accused India of crossing the border and attacking Chinese soldiers, the AFP agency stated.

The clash comes amid climbing tensions involving the two international locations. India has accused China of sending thousands of troops into Ladakh’s Galwan valley.

The deaths are believed to be the very first in many years in a confrontation in between the two powers. They have fought only just one war so significantly, in 1962, when India experienced a humiliating defeat.

India accuses China of occupying 38,000 sq km of its territory. Quite a few rounds of talks in the final three many years have failed to solve the boundary disputes.

In may well, dozens of Indian and Chinese troopers exchanged actual physical blows in a clash on the border in the northeastern point out of Sikkim. And in 2017, the two international locations clashed in the area just after China tried out to increase a border road through a disputed plateau.

The Indian military is envisioned to deal with reporters shortly to deliver more facts about the incident.
