Authorities said they were unable to confirm how many boats needed assistance or were sunk due to the overwhelming amount of calls they received.

The EMS administration in Austin Travis County also confirmed that it has not received any calls about medical emergencies and is therefore not providing assistance at the lake.

ATCEMS was not required to respond to any of them. If this changes, we will provide an update, they said in a statement on Twitter.

Event organizers promoted the show on Facebook, and invited Trump supporters and boats of “all shapes and sizes” to participate.

The post stated, “Decorate your boats with patriotic colors and raise the largest possible number of Trump flags.”
