A stunned father made a desperate plea for his daughter to come home after five nights, saying she met a stranger on Instagram before she disappeared.

Gabriella Beckford’s father, Stephen, drove her to her mother’s house on St. Andrew’s Street in Corrabi, a southern suburb of Brisbane, at around 10 p.m. on August 28, according to news.com.au.

It was there that the 13-year-old reportedly used his brother’s iPad to send a message to a 17-year-old boy from Logan District before he disappeared sometime between 10pm and 11:30 pm.

Mr. Beckford said his daughter looked fine before he drove her from his home in Eight Mile Plains to her mother’s house, where she stayed overnight once every two weeks.

“This is totally out of character. She has never spent more than one night alone and this night is 5. She has no phone, she has no money, she has no clothes.”

He said the year eight student suddenly left when the rest of the family was in bed, and did not show up to class at Runcorn State High School on Monday or Tuesday.

Mr. Beckford addressed his daughter Tuesday evening, saying, “Come home. Just go home. Where are you? Come home.”

He added that Gabriela did not know anyone from Logan and was not a region to her.

She didn’t take her phone with her either, and none of her friends knew the teenage girl she was thought to have met, according to news.com.au.

He told the newspaper, “I met a stranger on Instagram and other than that, we don’t know where she is or what she is doing.”

Anyone with information about Gabriella’s whereabouts was urged to call the police at 131444 and quote the reference number QP2001817912.
