Amazon Prime donates to Fleabag stars’ theatre emergency fund

A fund set up by two stars of Fleabag to assistance theatre workers afflicted by the coronavirus pandemic is to receive £500,000 from Amazon Key Online video.

Olivia Colman and Phoebe Waller-Bridge reported they had been “blown away” by the “incredible” guidance.

The streaming assistance is also donating £1m to a new grants plan staying established up by the Film and Television Charity.

Amazon Primary has pledged $6m (£4.6m) in complete to those concerned in theatre, Television and movie generation throughout Europe.

“The creative neighborhood in Europe has been important to our achievements in producing superior-top quality Amazon first Television set collection and movies,” Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke said.

The £500,000 donation to the Theatre Local community Fund will assistance present hardship grants of up to £3,000 to United kingdom theatre workers and freelancers.

Colman, Waller-Bridge and producer Francesca Moody stated the donation was “a video game-changer” for a neighborhood that “has hardly ever been far more threatened or fragile”.
