Devastating wildfires are spreading rapidly across California. Wildfires are not kind to the wealthy, either, as the posh neighborhoods of Los Angeles are now also at risk of falling prey. That's why they must evacuate.

Powerful fires coupled with strong winds are making it difficult to control California wildfires. Earlier today, 180,000 people were forced to evacuate, and now upscale neighborhoods like Pacific Palisades and Brentwood are being added.

Pacific Palisades in particular is a well-known neighborhood, because celebrities like Reese Witherspoon, Ben Affleck, Tom Hanks, Chris Pratt, and Judd Apatow live or have lived there.

    Sunset Avenue

There are also tourist attractions such as Mulholland Drive and Sunset Boulevard in the area where people are being forcibly evacuated.

    dead of night

The fire broke out in Los Angeles overnight Sunday into Monday and spread rapidly due to dry weather and strong winds. Thousands of people were suddenly forced to flee in the middle of the night. In total, residents of about 10,000 properties had to leave their homes.

Mayor Eric Garcetti urged residents to “leave when we tell you to leave.” He said some people had as little as 15 minutes to escape the flames. He is warning homeowners in particular not to try to protect their property with garden hoses.
