Curacao film “Cachot” wins at the Cannes International Film Festival

Cannes – Samuel David Baromeo ON Willemstad production He gave an amazing performance at the International Film Festival in Cannes, France, winning four short film awards Cashout.
They took home this in the categories of Best Independent Short Film (Low Budget), Best Psychological Feature, Best Debut Acting by Shari Uliana, and Best Song by Levi Celani.
Additionally, they were honored with two prestigious awards at the famous French Duck Film Festival – and the day before – for Best Drama and Best Trailer. Earlier this month, Samuel David Baromeo received the prestigious Diamond Award for Best International Debut Director at the Best Actor and Director Awards in New York, USA.
His exceptional talent also earned him the title of Best Director at the Berlin Independent Film Festival in Germany, as well as Best Director and Best Dance Film at the Paris Film Festival in France.

Samuel David Baromeo and Willemstad Productions are eagerly awaiting the results of various international festivals, after being nominated at the European Film Festival in Amsterdam and the Post-Cinema Festival in Italy. Additionally, they were quarterfinalists at the New York International Film Awards and the Oneros Film Awards New York in the United States.
Their short film “Cachot” was also officially selected at the Indie Short Fest in Los Angeles, IndieX Film Fest in Los Angeles, the Independent Short Fest Awards in Los Angeles, and the Chain Film Festival in New York, USA.
