Together they performed Allen's song Damn you from 2009, but not before Rodrigo made it clear that she had a very specific dedication to the song. The singer gave a powerful speech about the Supreme Court's decision.
“I am devastated by what happened yesterday in America,” Rodrigo said. “The Supreme Court decided Roe v. Wade to overturn Wade. This is the law that guarantees women's right to safe abortion and other basic human rights. I'm terrified that many women and girls will die because of this.
And I want to dedicate this next song to the five members of the Supreme Court who showed us that, at the end of the day, they don't care about freedom. This song goes to Justices: Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barrett, and Brett Kavanaugh. “We hate you.”
