Australian tennis players have advanced to the semi-finals of the Fed Cup. The host country beat Serbia 3-0. Poland previously qualified for the semi-finals on Saturday.

Serbia surprisingly fell behind against Australia due to defeat by world number one Novak Djokovic. He lost to Alex de Minaur 6-4, 6-4. Ajla Tomljanovic then put Australia 2-0 ahead with an easy win in the women's singles against Natalia Stefanovic. The score was 6-1 and 6-1. The combination went to Australia 6-3, 6-3.

Greece beat Canada 3-0 in the group match. In the first match, Stefanos Tsitsipas, ranked 6th in the world among men, was stronger than Steven Diez 6-2, 6-3. Then Maria Sakkari doubled the lead for the Greeks, defeating Leila Fernandez 7-6 (2), 6-3. Greece won the mixed doubles 7-5, 6-4.

Poland will play the winner of France and Norway in the semi-finals. Australia will meet Greece or Germany in the quarter-finals.
