Adelinde Cornelissen has sold her Grand Prix horse Fleau de Baian to the United States. The thirteen-year-old son of the Jazz will continue his career under Christian Simonsson. This young rider was part of the American team that won the gold medal at the Pan American Games.

“It’s never easy to see your best friend leave the stable… but I saw Christian Simonson and Flo working together and from the first moment there was a click between the two! Christian is a fantastic young rider with great talent and I’m sure we will hear from them again!” writes Adelinde Cornelissen on Instagram about the sale.

    Parzival’s full brother

Fleau de Baian was bred by the Beyer family from the Netherlands and is a full brother to Adelinde Cornelissen’s outstanding horse Parzival. It is approved by AES and Oldenburg Studbooks, and subsequently approved by KWPN in 2018.

    Grand prize

The chestnut stallion was trained under Adelinde Cornelissen. The duo made their International Grand Prix debut in September 2020 in Hagen, where they scored 73.304%. Over the years, the team has participated in many competitions, but there have also been periods of absence. In 2023, after a year of absence, they returned to CDI Geesteren and recorded a double win of 72 and 74%. Their last international match was in Cronenberg in July 2023 where they scored 70.239% for the Grand Prix.
