These are the best free courses

These are the best free courses

Theodore Meeks, December 4, 2023

aVery few people are well prepared for AI as the most important fundamental technology of our time. 37% of Germans have already tried ChatGPT, but mostly only for private purposes. Even more frightening is the realization that 63% of people in Germany have never used or known about the world’s most popular AI tool, according to a current representative study by TÜV. Meanwhile, many people believe that AI will be very important for their jobs:

  • Half of German employees expect AI to play a major role in their jobs within five years.
  • About a third fear that they will fall behind in their careers at the latest, and that artificial intelligence will replace them, and
  • In fact, nearly two-thirds of respondents consider additional training in AI helpful.

This desire contrasts sharply with reality, as only 8% of employees in Germany have so far completed AI training for their jobs, a Randstad analysis shows. Germany therefore falls in the lower middle line in international comparison.

There are now a lot of good AI courses, often offered for free – some from universities or research institutes, and often also from companies interested in rapid progress in AI (which of course also promote their own services in the courses which is why the courses don’t have to be bad ).
