Willems Bouwbedrijf sells DC Aviation Valley to Frasers Logistics and Commercial Trust (FLCT).
DC Aviation Valley (12,960 sqm) near Maastricht Airport was developed by Willems, part of Ballast Nedam, to meet the growing demand for logistics distribution centres. Construction is scheduled to be completed in the third quarter of next year. It has been leased on a long-term basis to Maastricht Logistics Services, a logistics service provider specializing in the services of freight forwarders, airlines and transport companies.
FLCT is excited about the opportunity to invest in an emerging logistics area. FLCT is a Singapore-listed real estate investment trust with a portfolio of 107 industrial and commercial properties, worth approximately €4.5 billion, diversified across Australia, Germany, Singapore, the UK and the Netherlands. FLCT is assisted in Europe by Frasers Property Industrial.
Willems Bobdridge received commercial assistance from JLL during this lease and sale transaction. FLCT obtained legal assistance from Lexence and technical assistance from SGS Search. MLS commercial supervision was undertaken by Spauwen Werrij during this lease deal.
