Several media outlets, such as NOS, on Sunday morning published the story of a lone sheep rescued on a Scottish island after two years. But is that story true? Animal rights activists from Animal Rising tell a very different story in the video above. They previously ran a sheep rescue, which they named Sheepy. First they asked the owner to bring the sheep to safety, which was confined to an almost inaccessible part of the coast of the island itself. When that led to nothing, they took action themselves.

The pictures show how they managed to reach the sheep. The animal has a huge coat and is very shy, probably because it has not seen people or other animals for a long time. Animal rights activists work for several days and devise a plan to rescue the sheep and move them to a private animal shelter where they can continue to live in peace.

A sheep farmer learns of this event and, with the help of other ranchers and the owner, who has left the sheep to fend for themselves for two years, quickly begins his own rescue operation. The sheep are suddenly evacuated from their dire situation. This action has reached all media outlets, such as the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). The story of animal rights activists is not mentioned anymore.

According to Animal Rising, there is also a problem. Or say snake. The sheep are now being transported to A Zoo petting, a type of commercial petting zoo. “Imagine, after two years of no contact with people, you suddenly have to fawn over people all day because they can make money off you.”

Below is the video clip of the sheep farmer who removed the sheep with his colleagues and named it Fiona.
