SHANGHAI (Reuters) – Apple Inc AAPL.N removed 29,800 applications from its Chinese app store on Saturday, like far more than 26,000 video games, in accordance to facts from research agency Qimai.

The takedowns come amid a crackdown on unlicensed games by Chinese authorities.

Apple did not quickly answer to a request for remark.
