Summer skiing in Zermatt
Even in the summer months, conditions on the Theodul glacier above Zermatt are wintry. Snow stays here all year and the slopes are groomed for winter sports enthusiasts daily, if conditions are right. In this summer ski area, you can go down from about 21 kilometers of slopes. Summer Snowpark Zermatt is also open in the summer months. There are two ways to get to the glacier. With different lifts you will be taken to 3883 meters from Zermatt or Cervinia. In the summer ski area, snowy conditions are best in the morning.
Open 365 days
The Zermatt glacier is usually open 365 days a year. This depends on snow conditions and weather conditions. Many ski teams come to the ski area on the border between Switzerland and Italy in the summer to train.
