The whistleblower had informed Representatives Zuhair Al-Yassini (VVD) and Harry van der Meulen (CDA) about alleged violations of the salary cap for public broadcasters. They will be circumvented in a shady way. Al Yasini and van der Mollen then brought the whistleblower into contact with the ministry, which at the time was still under the supervision of former CU Minister Ari Slopp, after which a conversation with the whistleblower Morgan Hammersma followed. As the department’s general secretary, she is the highest-ranking official.
Both the VVD and the CDA support Bosma’s request for discussion, as do a series of opposition parties. The D66 coalition party, the party of both Rijxman and Uslu, first wants a letter from the Cabinet before the debate begins.
Oslo’s foreign minister said last week that she wanted to look at it “internally” and have discussions about how to handle it at the time, but now she still has to count the summer recess in Parliament.
