The Dutch IT Channel editors will present the 2021 Special Editor’s Choice Award to Michel van Teijlingen, Managing Director of the Netherlands at SoftwareONE. His efforts in SoftwareONE’s successful transition from a purely “licensed house” to a full-fledged provider of managed services were, among other things, reason for editors to award Van Teijlingen this token of recognition. The special award was presented during the 7th edition of the Dutch IT Channel Awards at Studio 21 Hilversum by Editor-in-Chief Witold Kepinski and presenter Nance Colen.

Michel van Tejlingen (45 years old) is a highly regarded person in the Dutch IT Channel and has been in the image of the Dutch IT Channels Editors for some time to receive this annual award. He himself describes the award as a “beautiful confirmation” of what he has been able to mean to the Dutch IT channel over the past 24 years.

Van Teijlingen started his career in 1998 as an account manager at PC-Ware and ended up at COMPAREX and SoftwareONE through acquisitions. At SoftwareONE he became the Managing Director of the Netherlands and a member of the Board of Directors and, since October last year, has been the leader of the Federation, a regional responsibility for the entire Benelux.

Michel van Teijlingen was recognized, among other things, for his commitment to ensuring that COMPAREX was acquired by SoftwareONE in 2019 without a personnel change. He also played a large role in creating a Dutch organization of eighty people for the relatively new services offered by SoftwareONE.

Due to illness, Michel van Teijlingen will stop working at SoftwareONE from May 1, in order to spend more time with his wife and three children. However, he will remain remotely active in a more advisory role.
