Colin Kaepernick likens the NFL draft process to auctioning slaves on his new Netflix special — with black “athletes” in fetters and white “angels” beating them up.
The former NFL player uses this analogy in his drama series “Coleen in Black and White” to depict the contest drafting process and training camp.
“What they don’t want you to understand is that a power dynamic is being created,” said Kaepernick, the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback.

Critics have challenged the comparison to slavery on social media.

Kaepernick caused controversy in 2016 when he knelt during the national anthem at the Games to protest police brutality and racism in the United States. He left the NFL that same year and hasn’t signed with any team since.
