    Jamaica is the birthplace of 007, where Ian Fleming created and wrote Bond novels. The island also appears in the first James Bond movie, Doctor no (1962), as well as in live and die (1973).

Edmund Bartlett, Jamaica’s Minister of Tourism, commented, “Bond means to us that we are a beginning, but also a wonderful ending.” For its part, the Hon. “It’s something we’ve dreamed about and we’re thrilled to see it become a reality,” added Olivia Grange, Jamaica’s Minister of Culture, Gender, Leisure and Sports.
